Helwan University Launches Artistic and Cultural Competition: "Art Fights Corruption"

Helwan University has announced the launch of a new artistic and cultural competition titled *"Art Fights Corruption," organized by the Artistic and Cultural Activities Administration of the General Administration for Youth Welfare.
The competition is being held under the auspices of Professor El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, Professor Hossam Refaii, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hanan Kamal, Coordinator of the Anti-Corruption Committee.
Competition Categories
The initiative includes several artistic and literary disciplines designed to inspire creativity and promote awareness of corruption prevention:
- Visual Arts:
- Drawing (50 x 70 cm)
- Poster Design (35 x 50 cm)
- Photography (20 x 30 cm)
- Poetry
Participants' submissions must reflect themes and strategies for combating corruption.
Objectives
The competition aims to enhance student awareness about the impact of corruption and the importance of its prevention in fostering a healthier and more equitable society. It emphasizes the essential role of anti-corruption efforts in driving societal reform and progress.
The competition is supervised by:
- Major General Mohamed Abu Shaqa, university secretary-general
- Mr. Hesham Rafaat, assistant secretary-general for education and student affairs
- Mr. Mohamed El-Sayed Gad, director-general of the general administration for youth welfare
- Mr. Ahmed Yehia, director of the cultural and artistic activities administration
Submission Deadline and Guidelines
Students interested in participating should submit their work to their college's Youth Welfare Office.
Submission deadline: Thursday, December 5, 2024.
