Helwan University Central Library Hosts an Introductory Seminar on the Diamond Reader Competition

Helwan University is hosting an introductory seminar on the Diamond Reader Competition for Helwan University students, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, President of Helwan University; Prof. Dr. Hossam Refai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Emad Abu El-Dahab, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research. The event is supervised by Ms. Farida Hashem, Assistant Secretary-General for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Mr. Ashraf Imam Hafez, General Coordinator of the National Reading Project at Helwan University and General Director of the General Administration of Libraries.
This event is part of the competitions of the "National Reading Project," organized by the Scientific Research Foundation to mark the launch of the fifth season.
The seminar reflects Helwan University's commitment to supporting the importance of reading and exploration across various fields of knowledge, aiming to strengthen the role of culture in shaping students’ futures and promoting awareness, education, and innovation.
The seminar will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 29, at the Conference Hall in the Central Library. The speakers will include Dr. Abdo Ibrahim, Director of Educational Projects and Quality at the Scientific Research Foundation, and Dr. Mahmoud Fouad.
The National Reading Project is a sustainable, competitive cultural initiative that aims to encourage the youth and children of Egypt to engage in functional, creative, and critical reading, leading towards a knowledgeable, thinking, and innovative society in line with Egypt's Vision 2030. The Diamond Reader Competition specifically targets university students across Egypt, following specific mechanisms and criteria.
