Dr. Ahmed Madkour, Assistant Professor in the Department of Endemic diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Helwan University, and a pioneer in third-space endoscopy in Egypt and the Middle East, has published an innovative scientific research article in one of the largest global scientific journals in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy, the European Journal of Surgical Endoscopy.
The innovation, referred to as the "Madkour Technique," represents an advanced development of the peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) procedure. This
technique facilitates the treatment of complex cases that were previously challenging to manage effectively.
